Co-Founder of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR), Henry Kravis, has invested in ParaFi Capital, an alternative investment firm with a focus on the fintech and blockchain ecosystem, Bloomberg reports.
KKR & Co. Inc. is a global investment firm that manages multiple alternative asset classes, including private equity, energy, infrastructure, real estate, credit, and, through its strategic partners, hedge funds. In 2017, the firm had $148.5 billion assets under management.
A former employer of KKR & Founder of ParaFi Capital, Ben Forman, says in the high-yield markets, he used to fight to outperform the index by tens of basis points.
"Crypto, on the other hand, due to its nascency, offers a tremendous amount of alpha to active managers," added Forman.
Earlier this year, the popular American tennis player and winner of four Olympic gold medals, Serena Williams, said that back in 2014 she launched an investment business called Serena Ventures and invested in more than 30 companies, including the U.S. crypto exchange Coinbase.
