Chinese mining hardware maker Ebang Communication has not updated its IPO application on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX), according to the information published by the exchange.

Ebang applied to go public on the HKEX in June 2018. According to the exchange's rules, all applicants must update their applications every 6 months, while Ebang last updated its application in December 2018.

Ebang's share of the global mining market is 9.2%, while the computing power of the company's devices reaches 10.9%.

Mining company Canaan Creative said in November 2018 it was not sure whether it would make its debut on the HKEX or not. Chinese giant Bitmain also questioned its plans in March this year.

Bitmain said it could make its debut on the stock exchange in the second half of 2019. Just 4 days ago Ihodl reported that the company was reconsidering the possibility of going public in the U.S. Apparently, the Chinese firm has decided to do so influenced by the recent rally of bitcoin's price.
