One of the largest Japanese cryptocurrency exchanges CoinCheck that suffered a hacker attack worth of $400 million worth of NEO cryptocurrency back in January 2018, could be attacked by a group of unknown Russian hackers, Asahi Shimbun reports.

The Japanese media states one of the CoinCheck employee's personal computers was infected with a Russian virus bot, which includes mokes and netwire, known as Smoke Bot.

However, it seems that the exchange is doing well since back January 2019 it received total permission from the Japanese Financial Services Agency (FSA) to operate as a cryptocurrency exchange.
