U.S.-based cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has just launched its Visa debit card in 6 European countries, CNBC reported yesterday.
Starting yesterday, users in Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Ireland and the Netherlands who have the card, which synchronizes directly with their Coinbase accounts, will be able to access the service.
The card had already been launched in the UK in April this year.
The card is available in two formats: both as a mobile app for iOS or Android and as a physical card that can be used to withdraw cash from ATMs.
The exchange's card reportedly allows its users to spend the crypto they have stored in their accounts at any merchant that accepts Visa cards.
Users can decide which currency they want to spend, and Coinbase then converts it into fiat for a fee.
