The Canadian University of British Columbia (UBC) has just announced it will offer its master's and PhD students a course on blockchain and distributed ledger technology.
The course reportedly aims to provide students with training on this revolutionary technology in four specific fields: health and wellness, clean energy, regulatory technology, and indigenous issues.
The university hopes to train around 139 students over 6 years. Once they complete the course, students will have the necessary tools to assess blockchain solutions as well as to identify their potential applications.
The project is supported by 15 industry partners from different sectors that will offer students internships.
In late May, Dublin City University partnered with Technology Ireland ICT Skillnet to launch a master's degree in blockchain technology.
