Blockchain analysis startup AnChain.AI has recently reported through its latest study that during the first quarter of 2019 bots made dApps transactions worth more than $6M.

The report, which has analyzed the activity of bots in the EOS blockchain, has found that 51% of unique accounts and 75% of transactions are executed by bots and not by humans.

According to Victor Fang, AnChain CEO, the incessant activity of bots in blockchains is having a negative effect on their integrity. This is due to the fact that the popularity and reputation of blockchains is determined by the activity of their users and their volume of transactions, the metrics that bots are actually distorting.

The study has analyzed the transactions of the 10 main EOS dApps platforms, which represent 65% of the total volume of blockchain dApps.

It must be noted that bots are not a problem that exclusively affects blockchains. The report makes reference to a study that found that almost 40% of all Internet traffic in 2018 was driven by bots.
