Amazon has just become the most expensive brand in the world, according to Kantar’s latest global BrandZ ranking.

Since 2018, Amazon's valuation has surged by 52% to $315.5B. The company ranked third in last year's ranking, just behind Google and Apple. This is the first brand to debut in the first position over the last 12 years.

According to BrandZ's latest ranking, Amazon's valuation grew 52% between 2018 and 2019, while Apple's increased by 3% to $309.1 billion and Google's by only 2% to $309 billion.

This year there are 9 newcomers: Chanel, Indian State Insurance Group Life Insurance Corporation, Didi, Xiaomi, the Chinese holding Meituan Dianping, Dell Technologies, Xbox, the Chinese manufacturer of household appliances Haier and the Indian IT company Tata Consultancy Services.
