Dutch billionaire John de Mol has filed a lawsuit against Facebook for publishing fake ads on the social network which used his name and image to perpetrate Bitcoin-related fraud, reports Reuters.

De Mol is one of the men behind production companies Endemol and Talpa and is worth about US$ 1.5 billion. De Mol is also known for being the creator of the original Dutch versions of Big Brother and The Voice.

According to De Mol’s lawyers, the billionaire wants the court to order the social network to change its system of automatically blocking ads featuring De Mol and crypto which, according to the lawyers, caused De Mol "reputational damage."

Meanwhile, Facebook according to CNBC is about to announce this month plans to launch its own stablecoin, which Facebook's employees will be able to use to receive a part of their salary.
