Block.one, a developer of blockchain-based ecosystem EOS (EOS) has launched a new social media application called "Voice," Bloomberg reports.

According to the report, Voice is deployed on the EOS blockchain network and offers users all traditional features that include every social network such as publishing, sharing and promoting content. Every action is reportedly written on the EOS blockchain.

Block.one CEO Brendan Blumer claims "current social media platforms are designed to use their users." It's believed that Voice will solve this issue and will give its users control over their data.

However, it seems that the crypto market hasn't reacted much to the announcement. At press time, EOS is trading at $8.10 (-3.40%).

The lack of price movement may be explained by skepticism from the crypto community side who recently witnessed censorship from the other blockchain-focused social media platform.

Let us recall that earlier this year, another blockchain-focused social media platform Steemit suffered from over-attention after the account of a hacker group called The Dark Overlord that published secret documents, containing information on the tragedy of September 11, 2001, was banned on the platform.
