Coinbase's Cheif Operational Officer Asiff Hirji is departing the exchange after two years at the company, Bloomberg reports citing sources familiar with the matter.
Hirji has been working at Coinbase since December 2017. According to Bloomberg, Emilie Choi, Vice President of Business, data and international, was named as the new Сhief Operating Officer at Coinbase.
Coinbase Co-Founder & CEO says Hirji's experience and mentorship "helped guide Coinbase through an important chapter in its history.”
"He joined at a critical time when both the company and crypto space were going through rapid growth, bringing his extensive experience to bear when it was most necessary," added Armstrong.
Earlier, Coinbase announced support for EOS (EOS) at Coinbase.com and in the Coinbase Android and iOS apps. Coinbase users can now purchase, sell, exchange, send, receive, or store EOS, states the official announcement.
