Bitcoin price (EXANTE: Bitcoin) is falling today. At press time, the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization is trading at $8,317.75 (-4.58%).
Ethereum (ETH/USD) has fallen to $256.68 (-9.26%), while XRP (XRP/USD) has lost 8.19% of its value and is currently trading at 0.42 $. All coins in the top 10 are posting losses.
The crypto market was rising all day yesterday, with some coins posting gains of as much as 2 digits. Bitcoin managed to remain around $8,700 all day, making some people think it could even try to overcome the $9,000 resistance level sometime during the day.
However, the market trend has changed drastically during the night, resulting in significant losses among most cryptos. For instance, Bitcoin SV, which yesterday enjoyed the highest growth in the top 10 (+27.53% at 4 p.m.), is the most affected currency by the market fall (-16.21%).
Yesterday we reported that the head of operations at OKEx, Andy Cheung, had recently said that the Bitcoin price would reach $20,000 this year.
