Bitcoin (EXANTE: Bitcoin) is rising today. At press time, the largest cryptocurrency by market cap is trading at $8,726.4 (+9.11%). This growth has helped it update its 12-month high.
Ethereum (ETH/USD) has risen to $268.28 (+7.84%), while XRP (XRP/USD) has jumped by 7.85% to $0.41. All the cryptos in the top 10 are posting gains.
It has recently been reported that Samsung is planning to add crypto support to its Samsung Pay service. The Korean tech giant has recently transferred the blockchain task force of the mobile business division to the service business division. This group has been working in the past on the development of a digital currencies wallet for the Samsung Galaxy S10.
Under the leadership of Kim Yong-jae, the vice president of the service business division, Samsung’s blockchain task force has led various initiatives including the recent introduction of the Samsung Blockchain Wallet to increase the accessibility of cryptocurrencies.
Samsung announced in May its plans to integrate an electronic wallet into its budget Galaxy models. In early spring, the company introduced its new Galaxy S10, which included a similar feature.
