Asian e-commerce giant Alibaba wants to integrate blockchain technology into its intellectual property system of global enterprises and brands, the local news agency Sohu reported yesterday.

Apparently, Ali Xizhi, Alibaba's director of intellectual property protection, has said the company wants to integrate crypto's underlying technology to improve the filing of applications for intellectual property rights.

The company reportedly plans to fully deploy the technology in September. It will then be extended to digital copyright protection, including visual content.

The system will directly connect electronic deposits of international brands with the Internet Court through the Ali Intellectual Property Protection Platform ("IPP Platform"), which is based on a blockchain and will serve as the basis for the protection of litigation rights.
