Ukraine's new President, Volodymyr Zelensky, at iForum, a Ukrainian forum for Internet professionals, called for using blockchain technology within country modification campaign, ForkLog reports.

Zelensky also listed the main innovative areas that his team intends to tackle. In particular, the newly elected President mentioned preventive medicine, innovations in education, renewable energy, drones in the field of transport logistics, digital banking and decentralized technologies.

"Innovations make all processes transparent and efficient and deprive unscrupulous officials of their livelihoods. How can a hawck blackmail you with a notch, for instance, documents, if they [documents] are digitalized? How can another raider be able to change the owner retroactively in the registry if this registry is on the blockchain?," the President emphasized.

Last year, Ukraine’s former prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko declared that Ukraine is involved in "total corruption" and specified the blockchain technology as an effective tool to prevent it.
