Popular instant messaging app WhatsApp now offers its users the possibility to send and receive cryptocurrencies thanks to Lite.IM, a bot developed by Zulu Republic, according to a message published by the developers.

The new service supports Bitcoin, litecoin, Ethereum and ZTX - Zulu Republic platform's native token.

In order to use this option, users must install the Lite.IM bot. After that, they can choose a cryptocurrency, which will be used by default, a language (they can currently choose between English and Spanish) as well as set a password.

Zulu Republic developers already launched a similar service for Telegram and Facebook Messenger earlier this year. Lite.IM also offers the possibility to perform crypto transactions through short text messages (SMS).
