Cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex will open trading of its exchange token UNUS SED LEO (LEO) on Monday 20th, at 08:00 UTC, the exchange announced on Medium. The token will reportedly be tradable against bitcoin (BTC), dollar (USD), tether (USDt), EOS (EOS), and ether (ETH).
The token, which is a utility token, at the heart of the iFinex ecosystem, will be issued by Unus Sed Leo Limited, a British Virgin Islands company limited by shares.
"In addition to our excitement around bringing such an unprecedented and powerful token to the heart of our community, the Bitfinex team remains dedicated to continuing to grow and develop core infrastructure for our industry as a whole," the exchange highlighted.
The listing of the exchange's token follows the statement of the New York Attorney General’s office, according to which, the Hong Kong-based crypto exchange used Tether funds to secretly cover the $850M loss.
