The charges against boxer Floyd Mayweather and music producer DJ Khaled for participating in a fraudulent ICO have been dismissed, according to a court document filed on Monday.
A judge has ruled that the investors have not managed to prove they decided to buy the company's token influenced by the celebrities.
During the promotion of the project, the popular boxer posted some tweets in which he held a company debit card and encouraged users to acquire one. In another publication, he also encouraged users to buy the startup tokens "as soon as possible."
However, the plaintiffs have failed to prove they followed the boxer's Twitter account or that they saw his posts.
DJ Khaled also published some promotional content on Instagram, but the accusations have been dismissed on the same grounds.
