3 French banks have just joined the lending platform of British financial software company Finastra, the company announced yesterday.

The banks that will start using Finastra's Fusion LenderComm syndicated lending platform, which is based on Corda's R3 blockchain, are BNP Paribas, Natixis and Societe Generale, all based in France.

They all took part in several pilot projects in 2017.

Fusion LenderComm, which is based on the Corda Enterprise open source blockchain platform, allows banks to instantly share credit agreements, accrual balances and position data to lenders.

In October 2018, UK-based bank NatWest began using the Fusion LenderComm platform.
