Malta-located, backed by one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges of the world, Binance, crypto-focused bank Founders Bank, has appointed ex-Deutsche Bank executive Kenan Altunis as Chief Executive Officer, states the official announcement.
Previously, Kenan served as Global Co-Head of the Institutional Client Group at Deutsche Bank within the Corporate and Investment Bank where he was responsible for a multi-billion-dollar revenue operation and a team of over 1000 people, notes the statement.
"We are aiming to establish a robust, enterprise-focused bank that will redefine banking services now, and in the years ahead. Everyone on the team is excited about the opportunity we are embracing to build a world-class corporate challenger bank," highlights the announcement that was published on Medium.
The Founders Bank brings wide-ranging expertise to the world of crypto, having worked in senior regulated roles across various jurisdictions with global blue-chip companies such as Deutsche Bank, Barclays, HSBC, Citibank, Bank of America, Royal Bank of Canada, Brevan Howard, KPMG, Mastercard, Amazon, Paypal and BitPesa.
Last year, the former Head of electronic trading at Goldman Sachs Group Inc., Greg Tusar, became a Co-Founder of Tagomi Holding, a so-called "the Fidelity Investments of the crypto."
