American multinational financial services corporation, Fidelity Investments Inc., may launch bitcoin (BTC) trading for institutional investors within a few weeks, Bloomberg reports.

Fidelity is one of the largest asset managers in the world with $2.46 trillion in assets under management as of March 2018 and a combined total customer asset value number of $6.7 trillion.

According to Fidelity spokeswoman Arlene Roberts, the corporation currently has a select set of clients it's supporting on Fidelity's.

"We will continue to roll out our services over the coming weeks and months based on our clients’ needs, jurisdictions, and other factors. Currently, our service offering is focused on bitcoin," she added.

Earlier, Fidelity published research, according to which, many institutional investors are looking to invest more in digital assets “over the next five years.”
