The largest Russian social network VK may launch its own cryptocurrency, RNS reports.
VK.com was created in 2006 by the Telegram Messenger founder Pavel Durov. According to the statistics as of August 2018, the network has 500,000,000+ registered users.
The current draft of crypto-focused payment reward involves the creation of a personal account for the accumulation of cryptocurrency, RNS reports. Moreover, received cryptocurrency could be exchanged for some goods or converted via VK’s payment service — VK Pay.
The press service of VK declined to comment on the matter.
Earlier, the Telegram Open Network platform (TON) selected Japan as the very first country to launch its crypto-focused services.
