The hardware wallet developer Ledger has added support for Cardano (ADA), the company CEO Eric Larchevek has said in an interview on the YouTube channel Ivan on Tech.

The founder of the Cardano Foundation, Charles Hoskinson, had published earlier several photos of a Ledger wallet with the Cardano logo, adding: "Cardano Ledger. Got the first one."

The altcoin developers announced in February its integration with Ledger:

"We are pleased to announce that we will integrate the Ledger hardware wallet into the Cardano ecosystem. This means that from now on users will be able to keep their ADA tokens offline using a convenient and secure cold storage."

Cardano's price has risen more than 10% boosted by the news. At press time, the token is trading at 0.066 $ (+10.20% in the last 24 hours), registering the highest increase among the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market cap only behind EOS, which has grown 12.10%.
