As a result, the attackers managed to withdraw the funds the users had stored in the platform. The company has not revealed the amount stolen by the hackers:

"Part of the assets were retrieved back, and we will do our best to retrieve back the rest of stolen assets. Several judicial administrations were informed about this cyber crime, including Estonia, Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong."

DragonEx suspended all the trading activities and promised to report about the recovery situation within a week. In addition, regarding the stolen funds, the exchange has said it "will take the responsibility no matter what".

DragonEx’s Telegram administrator reported later that the exchange employees have traced down the addresses the stolen funds are believed to have been transferred to. According to this information, the hackers stole Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and USDT, among other coins.

The assets were transferred to well-known exchanges such as Binance, Bittrex and Huobi. DragonEx asked them to freeze the funds coming from the attackers' wallet addresses. At press time, Huobi and Gate.io responded to the request.
