Tor, a popular project focused on digital privacy, has just created a portal on its official website to accept donations in cryptocurrencies.

From now on, potential benefactors will be able to contribute to the project in Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dash, Ethereum, Litecoin, Monero, Stellar Lumen, Augur and Zcash.

In addition, project representatives have said that users can also make their donations in other cryptocurrencies, however, they must contact them first.

Tor is a non-profit organization that offers free and open source software. The project is most commonly known for its popular Tor browser. According to the organization's site, its browser "protects users by bouncing their communications around a distributed network of relays run by volunteers all around the world: it prevents other people from knowing the sites you visit as well as your physical location." In addition, it allows its users to access sites that are blocked by different reasons, for example censorship.

Its main goal is to allow users to anonymously surf the Internet and bypass censorship, for example in certain countries, by hiding their IP address.
