The U.S.-based crypto exchange now supports Stellar Lumens at Coinbase.com and in the Coinbase Android and iOS apps, the company announced in a blog post yesterday.

The company said in a blog post published on March 13 it was adding support for the XLM token. Now, the token is fully compatible with platform and its users can buy, sell, convert, send, receive or store Stellar Lumens. However, they must not forget to add the XLM destination tag in inbound transfers and other sends.

According to the exchange, the token will be available for most customers, however, the newly-added XLM token will not be available, at least initially, to the residents of the United Kingdom or the state of New York.

The price of the token has registered a significant increase recently, probably driven by the news.

Coinbase has said it plans to add more assets to its platform in order to meet the users' requests.
