The mining devices manufacturer Bitmain has just introduced the Antminer Z11 to mine Zcash (EXANTE: ZEC.EXANTE) and other cryptocurrencies based on the Equihash algorithm. According to the company, this new device is three times more powerful than the previous model.

The Antminer Z11 has a hash power of 135 KSol/s, while the energy efficiency of the device reaches 10.50 J/KSol.

The Antminer Z11 has been built with a 12 nanometer chip developed with the Bare Die technology in order to obtain a better heat dissipation.

The previous version, the Antminer Z9 mini, was introduced in May 2018.

Bitcoin Core developer James Hilliard discovered a vulnerability in the firmware of Bitmain's Antminer S15 mining device in February. In theory, this bug allows attackers to take full control of the ASIC miner. Hillard believes this is not the only version of the Bitmain software affected by this important bug.
