Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the operator of the New York Stock Exchange, is updating its Crypto Currency Data (CDF) service, which tracks cryptocurrency prices, the number of daily transactions and orders volumes. As a result, "thousands" of new cryptocurrencies will be included in the platform, the company shared it its official Twitter account.

From now on, Cryptocurrency Data Feed supports 58 digital assets, and their data is collected from various exchanges. Most of these assets were added to the platform not long ago: the platform only tracked 15 cryptocurrencies in December.

According to the company, the updated version of the service will track thousands of cryptocurrencies as well as hundreds of exchanges, which, in the developers' opinion, should help increase the transparency in the market.

ICE representatives believe that if the service upgrade is successful, Cryptocurrency Data Feed could become an alternative to the popular CoinMarketCap portal, used by the majority of the crypto community to track prices, among other things.

The Cryptocurrency Data Feed service was launched in January 2019 in collaboration with blockchain startup Blockstream.
