U.S. electric car maker Tesla has just introduced the Model Y, the company's new SUV. It can be pre-ordered through the company's website.
The most "basic" version of the car is capable of traveling 482 km with a single charge. The Model Y can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, and its top speed (in its most expensive version) reaches approximately 241 km/h.
The sales of the most expensive version of the Model Y, which is priced at 47,000 dollars, are expected to begin late next year, while the more powerful versions will cost up to 60,000 dollars. In addition, the car can be equipped with additional seats (up to seven) for just $3,000 extra dollars.
In order to reduce manufacturing costs, Tesla has based the design of the Model Y on the Model 3's platform. This new vehicle is fully electric, and its battery can be fully charged in just one night.
