It seems that using Monero client version 0.14 with application 1.1.3 may trigger a bug with the change address, according to post which was published on Reddit.
A user with a nickname MoneroDontCheeseMe said he lost 1680 monero (XMR) coins ($80,640) due to a bug in Monero software.
"I believe I have just lost ~1680 Monero due to a bug in your Monero software. By lose, I mean that it isn't showing up on my Ledger, regardless of it actually being there (not lost in the sense that I sent it to the wrong address)," he said.
Later, the Ledger team announced that the bug may be triggered due to a combination of using Monero HW app with latest Monero client 0.14.
The case is investigating.
Earlier, one of the leading creators of privacy-focused cryptocurrency, Riccardo Spagni, said that monero was created on the basis of the privacy ideology as a currency, but not as an investment.
