The Telegram Open Network platform (TON) has chosen Japan as the very first country to launch its services, according to the contract of sale.
Since cryptocurrencies are allowed in Japan, this can strongly boost demand among investors in this country.
It also became known that individuals and legal entities from countries and regions that fell under U.S. sanctions were forbidden to purchase Gram tokens: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria and Crimea.
Thus, it can be assumed that TON hopes to work within the United States and the EU jurisdiction.
Payments from investors were accepted only in dollars, or in euros in terms of the U.S. dollar.
Earlier it was reported that Pavel Durov, the Founder of TON will launch MainNet of the TON in March 2019.
