Two weeks after announcing support for Bitcoin (BTC) on its Coinbase Wallet app, US-based crypto exchange Coinbase shared a similar update: it will also add support for Bitcoin Cash on its wallet. The app update will be introduced in the next few weeks to all iOS and Android users — who will now be able to directly store BCH.

“The new wallet update with Bitcoin Cash support will roll out to all users on iOS and Android over the next few weeks. BCH support is activated by default — all you need to do is tap ‘Receive’ on the main wallet tab and select Bitcoin Cash to send BCH to your Coinbase Wallet.” — Commented Siddharth Coelho-Prabhu, Product Lead at Coinbase.

Until very recently the Coinbase Wallet app only supported direct storing of Ethereum (ETH), Ethereum Classic (ETC) and a series of ERC20 tokens and ERC721 collectibles built on Ethereum. Now, it also supports the world’s largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization and soon one of the main altcoins of the crypto market.

Coinbase has been quite active lately.
