One of the most infamous HR companies not only in Japan but also over the world, Recruit Co., Ltd., has invested in Beam Development Limited, states the official press release.

Beam is a privacy-focused cryptocurrency, which is based on the MimbleWimble technology.

The investment was performed via the Recruit’s $25 million blockchain-focused investment fund. At press time, the amount of investment is unknown.

"Recruit recognizes the revolutionary impact of blockchain technology in facilitating innovation while preserving confidential data, but at the same time Recruit understands the need for appropriate government regulation to ensure that this new technology is not abused," notes the press release.

Previously, the Litecoin Foundation and Beam announced the cooperation to implement MimbleWimble via Extension Blocks on litecoin (LTC) to bring more privacy to Litecoin’s blockchain.
