The bear trend felt in the crypto market throughout last year did not adversely affect the global interest on cryptocurrencies — on the contrary, as the following shows.

Bitwise Asset Management and ETF Trends have recently released the findings of a survey, carried out in Dec. 2018, concerning financial advisors attitudes towards crypto-assets.

The survey’s goal: to understand how financial advisors were judging the cryptocurrencies and how (and whether) they were allocating clients assets to the crypto ecosystem.

The study involved more than 150 financial advisors — and concluded that more than three quarters (79 percent) faced clients’ questions regarding crypto last year.

Also, 9 percent were managing crypto allocations on their clients’ portfolios and 22 percent were planning a new allocation or the increase of the existing ones in 2019.

“[...] The survey shows that interest in crypto investing from financial advisors not only survived, but grew,” — Said Matt Hougan, Bitwise Asset Management’s Global Head of Research.

Moreover, more than half (55 percent) of the surveyed financial advisors shared their expectations around the appreciation of Bitcoin’s (Bitcoin) price over the next five years.

Good news, right?
