Ledger, a well-known hardware wallet producer, has announced that the mobile version of Ledger Live, its crypto asset manager, is now available. The app, which has been accessible for desktop, may now also be used in Android and iOS mobile devices.
At an early stage the app will serve primarily users of Nano X wallets — now able to use their hardware wallet wirelessly, using their smartphones and a Bluetooth connection. Users of older Ledger wallets versions will only be able to check balance details.
Nevertheless, the manufacturer assured full functionality will be available for all users at some point.
Hardware wallets, or the so-called cold wallets, are already popular among the crypto community due to the security level they provide compared to hot wallets and other online storage options. Improvements on their functionality will only increase their use.
