Singapore-based crypto exchange Huobi may launch its own stablecoin in 2019 already, according to the press release.

As it states, the exchange is looking ahead to a "significantly warmer 2019," particularly when it comes to stablecoins. The CFO of Huobi, Chris Lee, is personally "optimistic" about the future of the crypto market.

"I do think we'll see things get better this year," Lee said during an invitation-only event in Singapore.

At the event, Lee highlighted that the exchange in 2019 will be focusing on such features as Huobi’s trading system upgrade, further development of regional exchanges and stablecoins.

Lee believes that 2019 "will be huge for stablecoins."

"This year will be huge for stablecoins and we will be a part of that. Likely Huobi Group will launch its own stablecoin in 2019 in the first half of the year," Lee added.

Earlier, Huobi officially announced the launch of the EOS-focused crypto exchange in Q1, 2019. It’s expected, that initially, the exchange would support 40+ tokens.
