The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Australia announced today the launching of a supply chain blockchain tool to track food items — from their origin to the final recipient.

The created system will allow businesses to track their own products and consumers to check the origin and life cycle of those products through a unique QR code conceived for the item.

The main goal of the initiative? To allow consumers to know exactly what they are buying — so better, and more ethical, choices can be made.
