The crypto wallets producer Ledger has announced recently a new hardware crypto wallet with a distinct feature: bluetooth connection.

Hardware wallets usually connect over USB.

The new device, Ledger Nano X, was presented at the CES 2019 conference in Las Vegas. It is similar to the already on the market Nano S, a favorite among the community, however it offers support to more coin types. It will be able to store 100 crypto assets.

And its major innovation is the ability to allow bluetooth connection between the wallet and a mobile device through the also new Ledger Live app — a way to access the hardware wallet, to manage transactions and check balances, through a smartphone.

The new Ledger Nano X will cost $119 and pre-order is already available, for shipping in March. The Live app is expected to be available from January 28th in both the iOS App Store and the Google Play Store.

Ledger announced this summer that it has sold more than 1 million wallets in 2017, which has attracted large tech investors such as Samsung, Google and Siemens.
