Lite.im, a user-friendly cryptocurrency wallet that allows transactions through Facebook Messenger, Telegram and SMS, has recently disclosed it will add support for Bitcoin. It will be the fourth cryptocurrency supported by Lite.IM — after Litecoin, Ethereum and its native token ZTX, all three available since the service was launched last year.
With this update Lite.im users can send, receive and manage bitcoins (Bitcoin: BITCOIN) easily and securely right from the mentioned messaging platforms — just by communicating with a chatbot, that will carry orders on their behalf and share information on balances and transactions history — or through regular mobile phones.
The main goal of Lite.IM developers is the widespread adoption of cryptocurrencies.
By including Bitcoin in its offering the service is bringing the most popular cryptocurrency to the 2.5 billion individuals that use Facebook and Telegram — and to all the users that lack access to the Internet and can now manage Bitcoin via SMS, like what Cointext is doing with Bitcoin Cash.
And Lite.IM may not stop here. The crypto wallet also shared it is preparing new features for the near future.
