The head of fintech & crypto department in Hong Kong & China at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Henri Arslanian, in a recent interview with Bloomberg has shared his opinion according to which, 2019 has a lot of exciting things for crypto.
PricewaterhouseCoopers is a multinational professional services network with HQ in London, U.K.
"In 2018, we saw a lot of the big players entering the space. In 2019, I expect even more players to enter into the sector as well, especially in different ways. Some of them may decide to launch their solutions, others may look to partner with crypto firms, and others might look to invest in crypto companies," Arslanian said.
Arslanian also highlighted that a lot of things have changed on a global level. As an example, Arslanian, mentioned regulatory clarity in 2018.
"I expect more of this to happen in 2019, and that will give even more comfort to institutional investors and players as well," he added.
Earlier, in November, the Hong Kong division of global accounting and consulting leading company PwC was involved in the exploration of stablecoin issuing practices in collaboration with the non-profit Loopring Foundation.
