One of the most giant TV providers Comcast Cable Advertising has launched the next phase of blockchain, according to the official announcement.
The announcement states the blockchain tech has the company is working together with its partners on the collaborative effort. The company also highlights that blockchain is the "identity layer" for the TV industry.
The fundamental of the upcoming product is the Blockgraph platform, a blockchain-based software, "incubated to date within Comcast’s FreeWheel group."
Blockgraph will help to solve data verification challenges for all participants within the TV adv ecosystem.
Comcast is already working with NBCUniversal on testing Blockgraph’s features and plans to launch the product commercially in early 2019.
In 2017, Comcast entered top 3 the world’s largest media owners.
