A new cryptocurrency exchange VCTRADE, which is backed by SBI Holdings, one of the Japanese banking giants, has begun accepting bitcoin (BTC), ripple (XRP) and ethereum (ETH), according to the official announcement.

SBI Holding previously stated it was "expecting customer inflow from the SBI Group’s customer base of 23.47 million...Through mutual collaborations between businesses ecosystems, endeavor to realize a seamless trading environment between existing financial ecosystem companies."

It’s expected VCTRADE will allow withdrawal of crypto funds from late January 2019.

Initially, VCTRADE supported trading in the pair XRP/JPY, but later the pairs for Japanese yen with bitcoin cash (BCH) and BTC were added.

Earlier, a venture capital firm SBI Holdings Inc. was leading the list of most active corporate blockchain investors, with investments in eight blockchain companies, including cryptocurrency exchange Kraken and Ripple.
