The head of the popular U.S. crypto-related trading campaign, Brian Armstrong, has officially joined the Giving Pledge campaign, according to CNBC.
The Giving Pledge is a charity campaign that was founded by Warren Buffett and Bill Gates in June 2010. The main goal of the campaign is to encourage wealthy people to donate not less than 50% of their capital for charity.
Hence, Armstrong becomes the very first crypto billionaire who has joined the charity campaign. Besides Coinbase CEO, the Giving Pledge has such prominent entrepreneurs as Bill Ackman, Michael Bloomberg, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Richard Branson and many more.
Earlier, Coinbase announced the launch of its trading platform in six new European countries and overseas territories — Lithuania, Iceland, Andorra, Gibraltar, Guernsey and the Isle of Man — and that it’s planning an “aggressive” international expansion next year.
Moreover, the exchange also launched Coinbase Earn — a platform through which Coinbase users can earn 0x (ZRX) tokens by completing different educational tasks, namely watching videos and solving quizzes.
