Singapore-based blockchain ecosystem VeChain (VET) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the UAE’s leading cloud provider BIOS Middle East, according to the official announcement.

Co-Founder and CEO of VeChain, Sunny Lu, says leveraging on BIOS Middle East’s expertise in Cloud Services and System integration “will help accelerate adoption and transactions on VeChain’s platform.”

BIOS Middle East will integrate its security-as-a-service offering on the VeChain blockchain network.

Managing Director of BIOS Middle East, Dominic Docherty, states the cloud provider will work with VeChain “to extend its proven solutions on the blockchain to be directly accessible to Middle East and African organizations through the CloudHPT platform, which will potentially bring thousands of transactions on a daily basis.”

The announcement also highlights both companies will require help with designing, migrating and managing their blockchain solutions to realize its tremendous benefits.

Earlier, VeChain demonstrated to the representatives of the first China International Import Expo the ‘My Story’ and cold chain logistics solutions co-developed with DNV GL. Moreover, in November, VeChain tested its the functionality of its network at the H&M-owned brand Arket.
