Chinese phone manufacturer HTC will integrate blockchain-based Brave browser in its decentralized phone — HTC Exodus, according to the recent announcement by Brave’s Co-founder & CEO Brendan Eich.

Brave is an open-source Chromium-based blockchain browser developed by Co-founder of Mozilla. The browser supports iOS, Android, Linux, macOS, and Windows.

In October, HTC introduced its first crypto enthusiasts oriented smartphone Exodus 1 in Helsinki, for which it began to accept orders in October. Exodus 1 has a built-in Zion security enclave, where the user's private data is stored separately from the OS.

In addition, Exodus 1 is the very first phone in industrial scale which can be ordered on the official website for 0.15 bitcoin (BTC), which is, at press time, less than $540. It is also possible to pay for the NTS smartphone with ethereum (ETH) and litecoin (LTC).

However, the new HTC phone can be bought only by the residents of the U.S. and Canada.

It’s worth noting HTC Exodus 1 isn’t the only blockchain-related phone. A decentralized platform Pundi X earlier presented its own blockchain-based phone — XPhone, which is based on the Function X blockchain and called Function X OS.

It seems that the real blockchain adoption is just getting started.
