Fast food and crypto lovers can open a champagne. Starting next week one of the largest international chains of fast food restaurants KFC will start to accept cryptocurrency DASH (DASH) as a payment method in Venezuela, according to Forbes.
Forbes states that the Co-founder of Dash Help, Dash Merchant Venezuela and Dash Text Alejandro Echeverría has been managing the collaboration with KFC for the last three months.
Echeverría said that DASH integration into KFC business is “a great achievement for cryptocurrency and further validation of the continuing trend of dash adoption not only from a user perspective but now merchants as well.”
It worth noting that DASH feels quite comfortable within the Venezuelan jurisdiction. Previously, it announced the launch of Dash Text, an SMS-based cryptocurrency transaction service for Venezuelan users.
Another major success factor for DASH is the position of its CEO Ryan Taylor, who expressed confidence that the release of digital currencies of central banks (CBDC) is “the inevitable future.”
However, DASH hasn’t always been so successful. In August, the DASH community was demanding Taylor’s resignation. According to one of the DASH community members, Taylor should have been transferred to an advisory position since he destroyed the market confidence in Dash, repeatedly violating promises.
Dash is an open source peer-to-peer cryptocurrency which is strongly geared toward servicing the payments industry. Based on the bitcoin (BTC) project, dash aims to become the most user-friendly and scalable payments system in the world.
