The American company BIG Blockchain Intelligence Group has launched a course to train experts in the investigation of crimes related to cryptocurrencies. Initially, the program was designed for law enforcement officers.

BIG Blockchain Intelligence Group (BIG), specializing in cryptocurrency search, risk assessment and data analysis tools, opened an 8-hour online certification course for cryptocurrency investigators.

Initially, BIG’s course was developed for U.S. law enforcement, and is now refined for private sector employees: financial intelligence analysts, private investigators, and corporate compliance officers.

To obtain a certificate of a cryptocurrency investigator, program participants must learn 5 modules lasting 1-2 hours each and pass the final exam.

BIG clarified that the program was created by a former special security investigative agent and a certified expert in combating money laundering and fraud.

"Students do not need to be a computer forensics expert to understand how to recognize, investigate and successfully prosecute or report cryptocurrency related crimes," the course authors state.
