The company RIF Labs has acquired the Argentine blockchain-startup RSK Labs, which develops the open-source-platform of smart contracts with a two-way peg to bitcoin network, according to the official announcement posted in the company's Twitter account.
RIF Labs is a project of the founders and developers of RSK, a company that is focused on the creation and the development of a digital infrastructure for digital identification, economic coordination, and settlement called RIF OS.
It is expected that companies will unite their efforts and will continue to develop the RSK platform, which the main feature is a compatibility with the Ethereum decentralized applications interface, and on top of this protocol, they will build a RIF infrastructure.
As it was earlier reported, new sidechains solutions developed by RSK is expected to bring much-needed innovation to the blockchain field, enhance the scalability of existing blockchains, and have an overall positive effect on the cryptocurrency market.
