According to the official announcement, Crypto.com (former Monaco), has got approval from the U.S. to launch its Visa & crypto credit and debit cards.
Crypto.com is a re-branded vision of Monaco, the Hong Kong-based crypto-related payments and financial services platform.
The announcement states that Metropolitan Commercial Bank will launch in the U.S. its MCO Visa Card program.
The CEO of Metropolitan Commercial Bank, Mark DeFazio said:
“We are pleased to work closely with Crypto.com and Foris in bringing this innovative product to the US market. This program speaks directly to The Entrepreneurial Bank spirit that we have and seek to promote.”
It’s also said that at the first time, the card will support only five cryptos: bitcoin (BTC), ethereum (ETH), ripple (XRP), binance coin (BNB) and crypto.com (MCO).
Earlier, a form of digital money known as Monaco gained as much as 695% on a deal with visa that never existed.
