According to the information from 1ML, the Lightning Network has surpassed the capacity mark of $1 million in bitcoins (BTC).
Lightning Network is a payment protocol which helps to scale the bitcoin’s network. The Lightning 's tech is also may be used as a way to conduct operations between different blockchains.
The amount of nodes is nearly 1 million and the average node capacity of the network equals to 0.131 BTC ($758).
Earlier, on June 19, the number of Lightning channels within the bitcoin network for the first time exceeded 10,000. In addition, the amount of funds transferred through the channels increased by 228%, reaching 100 bitcoins on July 21.
