Ethereum-based payment platform OmiseGo and Blockchain protocol Mass Vehicle Ledger (MVL) will jointly explore Blockchain technologies. MVL is the protocol of the popular Singapore ride-hailing app TADA.
The companies announced further technical and research cooperation to create new Blockchain applications for TADA services.
MVL and OmiseGo will create a Proof-of-Concept (PoC) to see if they can use the OMG decentralized network for the MVL accounting system. During PoC, MVL records data collected from TADA on the OmiseGo platform.
On November 7, MVL received a taxi provider license, which allowed it to launch a new taxi service, TADA Taxi. More than 2,000 taxi drivers have joined the application through partnerships with local taxi companies.
